Gangtok, Pelling and Darjeeling Tour Overview

This 7 day 6 night customized tour begins with pickup from NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport and transfers uphill to Gangtok. The itinerary includes a high altitude excursion to Tsongmo Lake and Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial Mandir with an optional visit to Nathu La Pass subject to permit availability, overland transfers via Namchi and Ravangla en route to Pelling, full day sightseeing in Pelling covering Skywalk Chenrezig Statue Rabdentse Rimbi Waterfalls and Khecheopalri Lake, onward transfer to Darjeeling with sunrise at Tiger Hill Batasia Loop Ghoom Monastery HMI Padmaja Naidu Zoo and a tea estate visit, concluding with drop off at NJP or Bagdogra. Accommodation is in premium hotels and resorts with reserved Bolero vehicle for point to point transfers. Mandatory inner line permits and state vehicle taxes are included.

Gangtok, Pelling and Darjeeling Tour Itinerary

Day 1

NJP / Bagdogra to Gangtok

Arrive at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport and meet the local representative for a scenic uphill drive to Gangtok the capital of Sikkim. On arrival check in to Tempo Heritage Resort & Spa in a Deluxe Room. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax at the resort or explore the prominent local markets on MG Marg. Transfer is by a reserved Bolero and the meal plan for the night is Dinner Only.

Day 2

Gangtok to Tsongmo Lake & Baba Mandir

Depart in the morning from Gangtok for a high altitude excursion to the sacred Tsongmo Lake at approximately 12 400 ft and visit the Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial Mandir enjoying panoramic mountain landscapes. An optional visit to the Indo China border at Nathu La Pass can be arranged subject to permit availability and statutory permit fees. Return to Tempo Heritage Resort & Spa for overnight stay with Breakfast and Dinner provided.

Day 3

Gangtok to Pelling via Namchi & Ravangla

Check out from Gangtok and proceed overland to Pelling. En route enjoy scenic sightseeing stops at Namchi to see Siddheshwar Dham a Chardham replica and at Ravangla to view the spectacular Buddha Park set against mountain valleys. Arrive in Pelling and check in at Tripoo Rishum for overnight stay with Breakfast and Dinner included.

Day 4

Pelling Full-Day Sightseeing

Full day exploration of Pelling covering the Pelling Skywalk the grand Chenrezig Statue the historical Rabdentse Ruins Rimbi Waterfalls and the revered wish fulfilling Khecheopalri Lake. Travel and sightseeing are conducted by the reserved Bolero with time to experience the natural scenery cultural and historical sites. Overnight at Tripoo Rishum with Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 5

Pelling to Darjeeling

Travel overland from Pelling into West Bengal heading to Darjeeling the Queen of the Hills. Journey includes scenic views of rolling hills and emerald green tea gardens. On arrival check in at Hotel Golden Potala Executive City View room and relax in the mountain air. Accommodation includes Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 6

Darjeeling Sunrise & Local Heritage Sightseeing

Wake up early at 4:00 AM to view a majestic golden sunrise over Mt Kanchenjunga from Tiger Hill. On the return visit Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery. After breakfast enjoy a sightseeing circuit covering the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute HMI Padmaja Naidu Zoo and a historic local tea estate. Overnight stay at Hotel Golden Potala with Breakfast and Dinner included.

Day 7

Darjeeling to NJP / Bagdogra

Enjoy final breakfast in Darjeeling check out from the hotel and proceed on a comfortable downhill journey toward Siliguri. You will be dropped off at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport IXB for onward flight or train home concluding the tour.
